Outlaw: ’67 Porsche 911
There are early Porsche 911 purists and then there are Outlaws. One of the visible figures in the Outlaw movement is Magnus Walker – a fascinating character. We don’t mean to mislead you because this isn’t one of his builds but it is in the spirit of the movement. Outlaws don’t care about date coded Fuchs, proper carpets or matching number engines. What they do care about is performance and style. Today’s featured 911 is an early Short Wheelbase (SWB) ’67 with a sunroof – a rare car to boot.
It has been totally imagined by its builder and the results are spectacular. Some may not appreciate the color but we love it. The engine provides some real scoot with a rebuilt 2.7 motor, running NOS Triple 40IDA Webers, S cams, Bursch racing headers, sports muffler, gauze air filters, Petronix electronic ignition and Pertronix Blaster Coil. The interior is terrific with a mix of stock seating and racing bucket. The body was carefully stripped and refinished utilizing a NOS floor pan. Perfect.
