When? : ’69 Fiat 850 Spider
Okay, these were really popular little sports cars back in the day but when was the last time you saw one in the flesh? Here comes the wise guys with remarks like, “there’s an entire class for 850s at Concorso in Monterey.” Well we know there isn’t so there. These are really cute little cars that are pretty lively performers. The seller tells us this is a California car and the body is in great shape. All of the Spiders we remember were finished in bright colors so this yellow one is just right. It even comes with a hardtop and that could be a one of the factory optional tops that are hard to find. The seats look a little sketchy but we are sure replacement covers wouldn’t be too expensive. The listing tells us it is in “perfect” working order in addition to the aforementioned rust and accident free condition. They only built around 124,000 Spiders compared to the Million + 850 Sedans, so the survival rate for these is pretty low making them scarce. According to Hagerty Valuation Tools, the best in the world will be in the high teens. Since this probably isn’t, around $10 grand should do it. Maybe a little more. Click here for the listing.
