Caldo: ’73 Alfa Romeo GTV Euro Spec
We’ve found a pretty hot little Italian number that we are sure will be very popular with the Alfa set. It is a European specification GTV that has been totally rebuilt to be a fairly aggressive, yet streetable performer. The engine was rebuilt recently by Norman Racing using some pretty trick components. It does still have the Webers it was born with. The transmission was not neglected and it was lightened during its rebuild. The suspension now has IAP springs and Konis holding up all 4 corners. The one thing we would change would be the wheels and tires. Yes, Mustang wheels can fit an Alfa but they shouldn’t. GTA replicas or Minilites would be better and probably make it a much nicer car to drive. Rust is always an issue with a GTV so it is good to hear that this one is solid with nice paint and a new windshield. The seller is asking $26,000 and given the amount of work that has gone into it that might be a decent deal. Click here for the listing.
