Respect: ’72 Corvette LT-1 Coupe
The C3 Corvette from the late ’60s into the ’70s is getting the respect that it deserves. We’ve always like them, particularly the Coupe with removable roof panels and that neat basket-handle rear window treatment. It has an accentuated Coke-bottle shape too. We really like today’s find but understand that some of our readers might not the Elkhart Green exterior. That paint is sort of original. This is what we mean. The listing tells us the green is original but some spots, including the engine hood, were spot painted and blended. Then the entire body was wet sanded and clear coated. With that information, can you really call it original? The rest of the car is immaculate. It is an LT-1 and that means it is a well-balanced 350 small block with 255hp. It also has A/C, power brakes/steering and real leather interior. Everything is numbers matching. The odometer says 61,000 miles and seems believable to us. Bidding is brisk already with 9 days to go. Click here for the listing.
