A little love: ’67 Sunbeam Alpine
The Sunbeam Tigers gets all of the love yet the car it is based on gets very little. You can’t say that about an AC Ace (Cobra) can you? Of course not. The Alpine is a nice British sports car. It doesn’t have the panache others do and it isn’t drop-dead beautiful but it does have a following. Alpines were killers on the track with successful victories in SCCA races around the country. Actually, piloted by Don Sesslar, it was SCCA E-Production National Champ in 1964. Today’s Alpine , in British racing Green, has been in one family since it was new. Today, the son is the seller and tells us it is in good mechanical condition. The listing does indicate interior work is necessary and there are no photos available to determine to what extent. It looks kind of interesting with cream-colored steelies and center wheel covers. It would look better with painted wires for sure. The asking price is $15,000 and that puts it slightly below a Condition-3 car according to Hagerty Valuation Tools. Click here to contact the seller.
