Rarity: ’59 MGA Twin-Cam Coupe
Twin-Cam MGAs were a bit of a problem back in the day. They suffered from a host of issues but the one thing they had going for it was speed. When it ran, it was competitive. Modern engineering solved the issues that plagued it. Well it wasn’t really modern engineering, it was more like perseverance. Today’s Twin-Cam is a Coupe and that makes it a bit more special. It is set up as a race car with a roll bar, fuel cell and a log book. But it sounds like it is fully streetable as is. The Rally red exterior is beautiful and complimented with a black leather interior with red piping. Sweet. This one has the Dunlop wheels and 4-wheel Dunlop disc brakes. Price guides prefer the roadster to the Coupe even though the Coupe is more rare. The seller is asking $47,900 and that sounds about right if the condition is as good as it appears in the photos.
