Potentially decent: ’61 Jaguar Mark II 3.8
We love these Jaguar saloons from the ’60s. This one is desirable because it has the 3.8L engine, 4-speed manual and overdrive. The listing says it has almost no rust! We can’t assume this but we might infer from the license plate that this is a California car so the lack of major rust issues is possible. They also tell us it runs magnificently. Well, they say excellent but we are bored with that word. The interior looks pretty serviceable but perhaps not original material. We aren’t experts enough to know for sure. We would campaign this car as is and only perform what is necessary to get it roadworthy and reliable. Then we would outfit for some serious touring/rallies. We’ve seen a few set up like that and they are very cool. Click here for the listing.
