Can’t remember when: ’72 Audi 100LS
It has been ages since we have seen an Audi 100LS for sale in our usual happy hunting grounds. Frankly, it brought back fond memories when we spotted this one. We worked at VW-Porsche Audi when 100LSs were still around and remember having one for a week when the Boss went to Germany to learn how to say Vanagon with a “Vee” sound. Wouaaanagon just wasn’t working for the Germans. The 100LS was the most successful car to come out of the newly formed relationship between Volkswagen and Audi. So successful that they actually had to start making them on a VW assembly line. US versions were always built in Ingolstadt so not to worry. Today’s find is a time capsule car for sure. Virtually an original car except for a recent paint in the original color with a white roof added for some reason. It has only 67,000 miles so far and that is pretty remarkable. Not too much detail from the seller other than it gets 28 mpg and has A/C that needs a charge when the weather gets warmer. If you are from the Northeast you know that will never happen again. The seller wants an extraordinary amount of money for a common car in rare condition and that is $14,500. Good luck. Click here for the listing.
Hello, I want to know if you have the car yet and what is the best price? regards
We were never in possession of the Audi we just featured it on our site. It was quite some time ago so I imagine it is long gone.
