Who cares: ’66 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray
Who cares isn’t really a question but a statement. This cool Stingray Convertible has a lot going for it but what it doesn’t have is the original engine. Therefore, this is a classic Stingray that you can buy right and enjoy but not have the collector value of some others. If you are a smart buyer who just wants to get out there and wail on it, this is for you. Let your stock portfolio do the appreciation and leave the garage for playtime.
We are told this is a solid unrestored car with an older repaint in the original color (Hondouras Maroon?). It is a 327cid, 300hp 4-speed car with matching numbers everywhere else but the block. That is date correct but not original to the Corvette. The interior is original and looks pretty decent. It comes with its factory supplied hard top too. The American Torque Thrusts are an aggressive choice. We might go back to an original Corvette wheel option to brighten things up a bit. There is nothing like a small block Chevy with a slick shifting T-10. All good. The asking price is $39,500. Click here for the listing.
