Patina: ’53 Morris Minor Convertible
We like reading listings by people with a sense of humor. What we have here is a really early ’53 Minor convertible with left hand drive. That is the rare part in our opinion. It isn’t pretty but it sure is cute. If you like the lived-in look then you’ll like this Minor. Cars like this, even in this condition, attract people. No doubt you could be the most popular entry at a car show or cars & coffee when you drive onto the field. And no, you don’t have to be wearing a guerrilla suit to achieve that status. The seller says it is totally road worthy a testament to where the current owner has placed any investment. It certainly wasn’t in paint, chrome and interior. We would do a little accessorizing to complete the picture. You know, wicker baskets, plaid stadium blankets and maybe even a few dogs. Nothing fancy. And make them wear goggles when the top is down. All of this fun for $6,800. Click here for the listing.
It’s rather unfortunate that the seller didn’t see fit to open up the bonnet and take a photo or two of the engine compartment, some interior shots would’ve been helpful, too, and I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention what a boon it would be to be able view the underside and get a feel for the presence or absence of rust. IMHO

Agreed. One might assume that those items are not in the best of condition! It is still cute…
