Oil burner: ’81 Land Rover Series III
This isn’t exactly a counter point to the Land Cruiser we also featured today. We would compare this one to an FJ40 Land Cruiser. We think many of the reliability issues of a Range Rover are absent on a good solid Landie like this one. Mostly because these are less complex machines and don’t have a lot of electronic toys that seem to go wrong on a Range daily. This one is an import with a diesel engine and RHD. It was the subject of a ground up restoration therefore the seller tells us with confidence that it is rust-free. Cheers for rust-free! These are bull dogs on the back roads or the no roads. Clearly a purpose-built machine. They tell us the paint is less than perfect but we haven’t ever heard of a Series III being stopped by bad paint. They are asking $24,995. Click here for the listing.
