Sleeper: ’62 Chevrolet Biscayne
You start with a 38,000 mile Texas car and then you dump the stock drive train for a modern set up. In this case, a World Products-Merlin II 509 Crate Engine with steel heads by Grumpy Jenkins, roller rockers, chromemoly Manley Rods, Weisco Pistons 10.5:1 Compression. Eagle Crankshaft, Crower Solid-Roller Cam ( 580 Lift/296 – Duration, Exhaust 587 – Lift/300 Duration) Merlin Intake, 950 Hp Holley with Mechanical Holley HP Fuel Pump. That’s a lot of expensive high performance stuff. The transmission is a 5-speed Tremec. This is a show car that would be happier just scooting around town terrifying everyone in its path. The Chevy scored 997 points when judged at the Classic Chevy Winter National Show in Orlando. It has been featured in Super Chevy and Chevy Classics magazine. We like this one big time. It isn’t inexpensive at $74,500. Click here for the listing.
