See the USA: ’51 Chevrolet Station Wagon
Tin Woodies replaced real woodies when manufacturers figured out it was easier to build cars out of steel. Woodies are beautiful works of art but they were difficult to maintain when new and very expensive to restore. We surmise that after tin woodies came the vinyl woodies that many more of us are familiar with. Today’s find is a really sweet, very original ’51 Chevrolet. It is powered by the venerable 216cid straight six through a 3-speed manual on the column. The current owner has made it roadworthy and it needs only light cosmetics to remain presentable. A full repaint would be nice but not necessary. Enjoy it just the way it is. Seats for seven in a classic means the entire family can see the USA in this Chevrolet. Click here for the listing.
