All hail David E. : ’72 BMW 2002Tii
David E. Davis was just about the best automotive journalist ever. Davis’s seminal BMW 2002 review brought the brand to the attention of American enthusiasts. In it he states unequivocally that the BMW 2002 is “most certainly the best $2850 sedan in the whole cotton-picking world.” The German newspaper Auto Bild called it “the whispering bomb”. And that referred to the 2002 back in 1969. Imagine what they might have said bout a Tii. These are getting harder to find in good, solid, and honest condition. This one has 1-year old Inka Orange paint and we assume it was the original color. We would check to make sure. It has an upgraded suspension with Urethane bushings and Bilsteins at each corner. We like the period correct front and rear spoilers too. The seller tells us the car comes with the original wheels and seats. If it is fully sorted like he says, it sounds like a good place to start negotiating at $17,500. Click here for the listing.
Inka is orange not red. I had a Inka 72 tii and it was a deep orange
Thanks for the correction!
