100 Liter Tank: ’68 Porsche 912 Coupe
It isn’t often a historic, rally-prepared Porsche 912 comes to market. Today we have a Swedish privateer’s Porsche 912 built as a rally racer from new. The 912 was one of the few to be campaigned in Scandinavia. The car was originally owned by a gentleman by the name of Albin Griberg, an enthusiastic rally driver. He ordered the car with a factory 100 liter tank and that has to make this 912 one of the few so equipped. It has all the correct period racing equipment it was campaigned with back in the day. We are talking Halda Speedpilot, Halda Tripmaster, skid plate, Leitz roof rack, period German steel studded snow tires, Porsche mud flaps, tow hook, Helios spotlight, navigator’s map light, Bosch rally lights, and Repa safety harnesses. The restoration looks great and ready to rumble. The “as raced” graphics just make the entire package. This isn’t some poser like a few rally cars we know (ours). This is the real deal. It isn’t cheap at $159,500 but where will you ever find another? Click here for the listing.

Perhaps it needed restoration a few years ago? The seller says it is totally restored now. Maybe not a $100,000 restoration but who knows. The marketplace will set the value like it always does.
