Reference quality: ’59 MGA
We’ve talked about reference quality cars before. Frankly, we don’t know who coined the term but we use it to define a car that is as close to factory fresh as possible. And that would mean, all original equipment, factory paint dabs, stickers, and right down to hose clamps. We think this one must be one of those cars. It is a 1-owner MGA in Glacier Blue with just 37,000 miles. The interior has patina and appears original. The trunk is pristine for an MGA. All of the books and manuals come with it and they too look pretty darn good. The top, side curtains and the bags they come in are included. You can pay handsomely for a fully restored MGA and there are always quite a few available in various quality levels. We would definitely spring for an original car because it will get you to the head of the line every day of the week. The asking price is $47,000. Click here for the listing.
