Grand Pa Pa’s: ’72 Chevrolet Suburban
No, this truck wasn’t owned by Lord Grantham (aka Grand Pa Pa) of Downton Abbey fame. But it was owned by someone’s Grand Dad probably called Gramps. A good many of our readers have something vintage to drag around on a trailer. We know of a few Airstream owners and vintage race car owners too. Some not so vintage. Perhaps the need for a vehicle with good towing chops does not support a $30,000 to $50,000 expenditure.
Old Suburbans are always a good choice because they can fit an entire pit crew and a weekend’s worth of camping equipment. A vintage one will get you a better parking space and a whole bunch of thumbs up. Most old Suburbans have returned to the earth in that inevitable circle of life thing. But this one is just getting started. It has 98% original paint, original interior and only a bit of rust to arrest. It is a 350cid V8 with A/C front & back. It has a tow package of course. We love the period look of these old trucks and this one is as original as these get. Click here for the listing.
