Unsung hero: ’67 Mercedes-Benz 250SE Coupe
Here we have what we believe to be one of the most under rated buys on the market today. One could argue that this lowly 6 cylinder version doesn’t warrant a premium like the 3.5 liter V8 version but it is essentially the same car, only slower. Just take a look at the dashboard wood and tell me this isn’t a hand built car by one of the world’s most celebrated manufacturers. The truth is there are plenty of old neglected versions of these Coupes because they are expensive to repair and restore. Again, we use the wood for an example. It is clearly cabinetry quality. Today’s car is a California, no-rust candidate with only one respray in the original color. It has working A/C and a factory supplied Becker radio. The seller says it has been owned by one family since new therefore there are many records that go along with it. The asking price is a dollar less than $30 Grand. Click here for the listing.
For me these 111’s must have a sunroof. I feel closed in without one.
I think that car already sold on Ebay within the last few days….
