Black magic: ’65 Chevrolet Corvette
Today seems to be the day for cars with custom touches. We spotted this one in St. Louis and it really caught our eye. Of course, great photography helps and this car has gotten the full treatment. It is a restored C2 convertible with matching numbers. The seller neglects to tell us about cubic inches or horsepower but it appears to be a small block 327 with hooker headers, a new distributor, Edelbrock intake and carb, chrome alternator, and Mickey Thompson valve covers. Not too shabby. There are some minor custom touches that we actually like mainly because they are neat and easy to switch back to stock. The seller added flat black side pipes that are pretty outrageous. No mention of a factory hard top but that would be something we would add to the mix. The price is negotiable at $64,900.
