Rod in waiting: ’35 Chevrolet 3-Window Coupe
Sometimes something strange appeals to us and we can’t quite figure out why. This ’35 Chevrolet 3-Window Coupe is a case in point. We never wanted one and we have no idea what we would do with it but it looks very cool just the way it is. And Cool with a capital C is what old cars should be all about. The original overhead valve engine runs and propels the car forward leaving a cloud of smoke in its wake. 
The paint might be mostly original and the interior is definitely factory. Everything needs to be stabilized and preserved. The odometer is showing 40,129 miles and it is hard to tell if that is accurate. Considering the condition and originality we aren’t sure the $20,000 asking price is realistic but who knows. This is a perfect candidate to hang a bunch of period correct hot rod parts on it so start collecting and start bidding. Click here for the listing.
This is only too cool. Just hose it off and show it. There are so many hot rods out there, new fiberglass and steel, just keep this 79 year old the gennie as is, and it’ll outclass any new rod or resto in a show. Once they’re gone, they’re gone.
