Dandy: ’34 Ford Deluxe
It isn’t actually the car that the notorious duo drove but Clyde Barrow was a big Ford fanlike today’s featured car. He even wrote a letter to Henry Ford telling him how much he appreciated the get up and go and fine handling of Ford products. He thought the V8 was particularly dandy. Of course, he only drove Fords when he could get away with stealing one. Bonnie & Clyde were killed in ’34, the year today’s Ford Deluxe was built. When we spotted it we thought it had a nice stance and look about it. Turns out it has been repainted way back but it is virtually unrestored. It looks like a really nice car. Not something you would prepare for the Great American Race or the Carrera Panamericana but nice for a Sunday drive. Then again, the Great American Race would be kind of fun. It has a r rebuilt engine and it is a runner after 40 years of storage. It’s an auction with no first bid at $25K. Click here for the listing.
