Our first: ’66 Shelby GT 350
For Mustang lovers like us Mint heads, this is the holy grail. It is a GT 350 Shelby on offer from the original owner. Because there is an unbroken chain, this GT 350 comes with everything and by that we mean invoice, window sticker, books, receipts and a fuel log. Who keeps a fuel log for a GT 350? Someone who is meticulous; perhaps a little bit over the top. The only thing we lament is that the GT began life as a C4 Automatic. It was converted to a 4-speed back in the ’70s. Thankfully the original transmission and parts were retained. The SCM Price Guide says the range from rat to prince is somewhere between $135,000 and $200,000. Let us say this immaculate, documented GT is valued at $180,000. You would have to deduct 20% for the automatic (even though it is a 4-speed now). That puts it right where the asking price is at $145,000. It is here in Mintcountry, Connecticut. Click here for the listing.
Agreed… but, it’s a Shelby.
Shelby prices are crazy…its a MUSTANG!
