Just for fun: ’85 Audi GT
John Updike said, “most of American life consists of driving somewhere and then returning home, wondering why the hell you went.” If that is the case and his observation is correct then why not do it in an interesting car. That’s not a question but a statement. Here we have a really neat looking Audi GT, said to be road ready and rust-free for $5,000. We are fairly sure it will need something besides a good detailing but won’t it be more fun to drive this than a new A4? The Audi GT has design DNA of the original rally Ur Quattro. Much softer and less purposeful but it still has that stubby rear end we like. It has a new timing belt and clutch plus a fresh oil change. The seller tells us $5,000 and it is yours.
