Ready to rock: ’71 Alfa Romeo GTV
We are a sucker for a good GTV. Without question one of the most beautiful, elegant Coupes ever to come from well…anywhere. The early step-nose cars or scalinos are prized by collectors and are quite rare. But today’s ’71 is right in the sweet spot for the later cars. It has elegant small bumpers, a nice interior design and a very willing 1750cc engine fed by Alfa’s unique SPICA system. Finding one with a working SPICA is nice because this engine was meant to run with it. Many restore their GTVs and abandon the complex injection system in favor of Webers. Not an awful decision but we like things the way they were meant to be. Today’s car is ready to rumble with a sympathetic restoration completed 5 years ago. It has had little use since then. The ask is not ridiculous at $30,000. We’ve seen lesser cars for more. Click here for the listing.
