Cover girl: ’67 Lancia Fulvia Rally 1.3
We will start off our all Italian Day with a really nice Lancia Fulvia Rally. The Fulvia is a fine example of nimble, front wheel drive Coupes. They are handsome in a conservative manner with a well laid out interior. This particular Fulvia was the cover car of a magazine “Automobilismo D’Epoca”. It was restored in Italy but that doesn’t guarantee success. We have heard about unscrupulous restoration shops who simply want to make a quick Euro.
The engine, a narrow angle V4, breaths through a pair of Dell’orto carburetors. The seller tells us it has new tires all around too. It is certified by the Registro Storico Lancia. We take that to mean the motor matches the build sheet. The asking price is pretty strong at $28,000. Click here for the listing.
Sold for $11,000 after all.
Gosh, after six bids it’s all the way up to $10.50 already. Not sure where I’d find that kind of scratch.
Who in the heck bids in such tiny increments on a car? I’m sure they’re serious. Real Lancia enthusiasts for sure.
Outta my league.
