Stone’s War: ‘88.5 Ferrari Testarossa
The Ferrari Testarossa should be known for being an awesome supercar. But like The Saint’s Volvo, The Graduate’s Alfa Romeo and Bond’s Aston Martin, the modern Testarossa is ignominiously attached to Sonny Crockett of Miami Vice fame. After Sonny’s Ferrari Daytona was scrambled by terrorists, the police gave Sonny the Testarossa in an episode called Stone’s War. Unlike the Daytona, the Testarossa was real. Today’s ‘88.5 is in really fine nick. It appears to be well cared for in appearance and from the seller’s description, it is described as mechanically fresh. Careful scrutiny of the images provided shows us a tidy engine bay with all of all of the fasteners visible looking factory fresh. The mileage is low at 28,000 but not so low to be deemed a garage queen. The 30,000 mile service with clutch is already done so that is a good $7,000 to $9,000 you don’t have to shell out right away for some time. We can’t complain about it too much other than the wheels we think are a little boring. A nice set of wheels from a 360 would look cooler but leaving it stock is probably a good idea too. The ask is a rather palatable $65,000. Click here for the listing.
Got a good look at one at the last C&C. Still very dramatic after all these years.
