The Facel Vega was a really cool car built by the French maker in the late ’50s, early ’60s. They were reasonably fast, well made and quite handsome. In ’60 the company decided to drop down a few pegs and stretch the brand by entering the smaller sports car market with the Facillia. All good intentions for sure. They made one mistake and that was sourcing a powerplant from a manufacturer that thought 2, main bearings is sufficient and all the other manufacturers that use 4 or 5 are nuts.
