Build a Monte: ’63 Ford Falcon Futura

Roll back the clock to 1963 and the months leading up to the Monte Carlo Rally. Ford decided to throw some Total Performance love on the boring Ford Falcon. They entered a few teams in the grueling Monte. The rally was held in January at the height of the European winter. Early in the rally, a traffic jam occurred and a majority of the field was stuck in icy conditions. Ford’s  Swedish team arrived only a minute late. After a myriad of difficulties, the Swedes, in the final leg from Chambery to Monaco, ran flat out and won all six of the final special stages, a first in the history of the Rally Monte Carlo.
