Ken and Mary: ’77 Nissan Skyline GT-R Tribute

These crazy cool cars were not imported to the U.S., therefore any that are on our shores have come from private import like today’s featured Skyline. This generation Skyline was commonly referred to as the “Ken & Mary” or “Kenmeri” Skyline. Some advertising genius featured a young couple relaxing in the countryside with their Skyline so fans affectionately named them Ken and Mary. Nissan built the GT-Rs so they could race but they pulled out of racing and stopped producing the GT-R edition.  Only 197 Ken and Mary GT-Rs were built and prices are now well beyond the $150,000 range.  Read More
