Rising sun: ’89 Toyota Supra Turbo
The Toyota Supra Turbos have a unique following. They are the favorite of the tuner generation and we can understand why. The Supra, like today’s featured ’89 Turbo, is a good car waiting to be great. Back in ’89 Car & Driver wrote nice things about the package and the value it represents compared to the Porsche 944 Turbo. The Porsche being two times the price but according to C&D, the Porsche is more refined. We’ve been looking for a really great early Zs for some time with mixed results. This one featured today looks like a potential winner. Almost every one we’ve seen has some sort of custom wheels and this one has fallen victim to aftermarket wheels too. 
We are huge fans of the FJ40 having owned one in recent history. They are robust and very capable off-roaders and just the devil on the highway. This one looks like one of the nicest examples restored to original condition.
The Honda 600 was the first “mass market” car sold by Honda. The N600 sedan was introduced to the US market in 1969, and the sportier Z600 coupe followed in 1971. According to a reliable Internet source, a total of 40,586 sedans and coupes were sold in the US for the 1970 thru 1972 model years, with the majority being sedans.
