Part One – Merry Oldsmobile: ’62 Oldsmobile Dynamic 88 Wagon
You just don’t see many of these Olds wagons anymore. And if you are one of those wise guys that is thinking that is a good thing, then it is clearly not for you. We love vintage American Station Wagons. No country makes anything remotely better than our behemoths. Today’s featured find started out with a 32,000 all original car emanating from none other than Boise, Idaho (again). Idaho is not only great for potatoes, its high desert climate is very kind to cars. Except interiors which can be ravaged by the 300 days of sun year in/year out. The exterior was stripped to the bone and finished in White Pearl. Normally, we usually like to stay close to stock, but this package we’ve assembled (separate sellers) needs to be a real road warrior. The interior is close to stock and looks great. The wood flooring is exceptional in the photos. The car sports some wheels of questionable taste for us. would swap them out for something more traditional. The drivetrain sounds like it has been gone through with an eye towards longevity, reliability and good performance. That’s all the right boxes for us. The suspension is one of those air-ride systems. Sort of like the Citroen DS 21 we featured yesterday only new. The list of cosmetic and mechanical modifications is impressive and you could not even get close to the asking price if you started from scratch. The Buy It Now on eBay is set at $25,000.
