Tribute: ’66 Corvette Grand Sport II
We published a story about a real Corvette Grand Sport a few weeks ago. What a great and historic race car. They wanted to make a whole bunch of them but GM brass shut down the skunkworks that built the few racers that exist today. So we ran across a recreation of the Grand Sport built by Mid-America Industries in Indiana. The build uses a ’66 Corvette Coupe, and $150,000 later, you have a bad-ass Grand Sport. But this one has A/C! The car has so many custom features you really need to go to the Craigslist ad and contact the seller. It is an estate sale so they are motivated to find it a new home. They are asking $89,000 and we have nothing to compare it to except the original invoice from Mid-America. Contact the sellers by clicking here.
