Cute: ’76 Toyota SR5 Pickup
We try very hard keeping our cars in perfect condition. That doesn’t mean we put them in a plastic bubble and never drive them. It means we keep them clean and serviced frequently. But no matter how hard we try; they do start to show their age with bumps and grinds littering their landscape. We don’t call that patina, we call that chips and door dings. So when we see a 1976 Toyota SR5 looking good after 37 years, we ask the question, how? It does have a bump here and there but we aren’t talking about a fully restored XK120. These little compact pickups usually grace the back pages of some local auto shopper newspaper. But this one is special. It is bright yellow with tan interior and it looks neat despite its 74,000 miles. The camper shell is a bonus but we would remove it so we could use it for more practical applications. It would be nice if it was a 4X4 but you can’t have everything. If this SR5 is anything like the build quality of a Land Cruiser, it could last forever. But they weren’t rust resistant so the next owner will have to be as diligent as the current. If you need something to knock around in, contact the seller by clicking here.
