Ground Pounder: ’70 Ford Mustang Mach 1 Pro-street
Ford redesigned the Mustang in ’69 and gave us 3 new models that today, are among the most collectible Mustangs ever built. They are the Mach 1, the Boss 302 and Boss 429. The Mach 1 was the most popular and made in greater numbers so they are still reasonable to buy. We love the aggressive look of the Sportsroof Mustangs. It is evident that Ford’s inspiration for the new Mustangs comes more from these cars than the earlier versions. Today’s find looks amazing in Grabber Orange with the optional slats covering the rear window. The exterior and interior of this Pro-street modified Mach 1 has been kept stock and that is a good thing. But underneath is where all of the trick stuff is. Again, like cars we have featured before, the listing is where you find all of the details. But let’s just say the Mach 1 now has 500hp and a fully adjustable suspension. It is immaculate underneath and the build looks amazing. We only wish there was a video or at least a soundtrack to help seal the deal. Here at Mint, we have a passion for all kinds of cars. We are passionate about V12 Ferraris, Maseratis, Porsche of all kinds and even vintage trucks. But we have a weak spot for cars like this Mustang. If you ever owned anything like this car in the past, you know what we are talking about. We would like to enter the New England 1000 with this one. Hagerty has unmodified Mach 1s selling between $41,000 and $79,000. We’ll watch this one closely and hope one of our readers makes the deal. Click here for the listing.
