Fighting Irish: ’69 Porsche 912 Targa
If you read Mint frequently, you would think that we would be sick of featuring Porsche 912s. Well, they have become really popular and therefore plenty of junk has entered the market to capitalize on the momentum. So it is our duty to find the “potentially” nice examples and keep you out of trouble. We like today’s 912 because it is a ’69 and does not have the funky side marker lights of the ’68. We also like the Irish Green color. The listing is detailed and has photos of the body in white and other stages of rebuilding. That is nice although our preference is for cars that haven’t required such extensive work. The Porsche comes with a Certificate of Authenticity and that puts it in a class of cars we like. The C of A does indicate this 912 was specified with leather. The seller tells us the interior is original so we would be careful of the condition of the seats. We are told it is a good runner right out of the box. They are asking $29,950 and that seems to be a good place to start. Click here for the listing.
