When?: ’64 Buick Wildcat Convertible
When have you seen one of these wonderful Buicks last? We can’t recall but have fond, distant memories of an Uncle who had one. Buicks always had a look all their own. Can’t quite put my finger on it. All I can say is they are very Buicky. They appealed to successful people with a bit a flair back in the day. Clearly, they didn’t have to deal with digging themselves out of the “car for old people” reputation Buick has been dealing with for the past 25 years. But back in the ’60 Buicks were cool. Hey, they called this one a Wildcat for gosh sakes! It is a big car with a big 425ci engine. This one sports a rare, factory dual quad set-up making it the most powerful engine Buick had to offer. And how can you fault the original owner for specifying black with black. It looks amazing. Of course it is a Buick so it has power everything, A/C and Cruise Control! Perfect examples so equipped might go for $40 grand but most sell in the $25,000 range. This appears to be exceptional but we don’t know how exceptional unless we see it in person.
