Time capsule: ’65 Sunbeam Tiger
Tigers are interesting. The soaring values of the Cobra haven’t helped the valuation of the Tiger and it still remains in the shadows. The Tiger has some serious roots (no pun) with guys like Ken Miles involved in the project. The Tiger was reasonably successful in improving the Sunbeam brand but not to a huge degree. Production ceased after 7,000 units when Chrysler purchased parent company Rootes. Can’t sell a Chrysler with a Ford engine in it.It probably isn’t as successful a transplant as the Cobra but they are fairly rare. Finding a real one and not a clone has become an art too. Read More
