Restored: ’63 Austin-Healey Mark II
We have selected this Big Healey Mark II has a contrast to the more luxurious and more original Mark III. The Mark II has triple carbs and does not have a wood dash, but pretty much everything else is the same. Today’s Mark II was restored at a cost of over $90,000 and that is all we know except for the hyperbole of the seller’s description claiming it to be as perfect as the creation of man. We would prefer a little more detail to make our own judgement. The photos look good and the seller has a ton more. They say it 100% correct and we don’t doubt it but it doesn’t have the original seat cover material because it isn’t available anymore. Chalk one up for the cheaper Mark III. But if you like a little bling in a more vintage version, this one is probably a good bet. We would like to know the company that performed the restoration before we went any further. I believe Mark II’s do have roll-up windows. The early ones also had the dreaded Tri-carb setup.
You are so very right. Thanks.
