The New York World’s Fair just celebrated its 50th Anniversary. The theme of every Fair is a look into the future to see what could be possible. Many things that were forecasted at the Fair have come true. No, we don’t mean frozen Belgian waffles or the video telephone. We refer to the smashing success of the Ford Mustang. Ford took the opportunity to promote the heck out of their new model at the Fair and featured it in the Ford Rotunda Pavillion. We have vague memories of waiting for the new pony car convertible to transport us through the exhibit. So we let Galaxies, Fairlanes and Mercurys pass us by until one came along the line.
