Buy now: ’88 Ferrari 328 GTS
It seems everyone interested in owning a Ferrari is out looking for a great, well cared for early 308 or late 328. It also appears that the cognoscenti are looking for GTBs. We agree. But a great GTS is a very cool car and an enjoyable car to own. Do not go near any Ferrari without proof of maintenance from a competent Ferrari shop. Not all who say they “work on Ferraris” actually know what they are doing. We see butchered cars all the time at the shop. With all that said, this one looks like it is worth a closer look. It has original Ferrari Red paint with some minor nicks here and there. That is impressive and lets you know what you are getting involved with more easily than a repainted car no matter how well done. The interior is 2-toned with tan leather seats and black carpets. A smart way to go. The seller says 2nd gear is still in good shape and the car starts and drives as it should. That will be verified by a thorough PPI by a Ferrari expert. Frankly, some long-term owners don’t have much to compare their car’s performance to. It may run great for them but it might not measure up to a car up to factory specs. Just saying. The asking price is right in there at $48,900. That price sounds like a reasonable place to start today. Last year it would have been nuts. Click here for the listing.
Picked it up on Saturday. One way rental in a Toyota Camry from Detroit to Indianapolis Saturday morning. Hopped in the Ferrari and drove it back to Detroit same day.
This car is now mine…thanks for posting!
Congrats! We had a few readers interested in that one. Send us a picture when you go pick it up!
