Be Proud: ’67 Jaguar E-Type OTS
We are confident that you would be proud to own this Jaguar. There are no shortages of Jaguar XKEs with pricing all over the place. There is little doubt that any well restored Series 1, 1.5, XKE Roadster will sell for over $100,000. Whether it is $100,000 or $150,000 or more depends solely on the provenance and quality of the particular example. Of course that statement applies to any classic or special interest car. But when you have sales in the $100,000 range and then one recently for $425,000 you have to think why. What we do know about this Primrose Yellow example is that it is represented by one of our favorite sellers. They are because they have a good eye for horseflesh and take great photos. The listing does state the truth: these 4.2 liter, fully synchromesh roadsters with covered headlights are really nice. The earlier cars with 3.8 liter engines and the old Moss gearbox are more prized but less enjoyable to drive. Well maybe not that much less. So this 9-year old restoration looks pretty good with negligible wear. Hopefully it has tools and books to round out the package. Click here for the listing.
