Tribute: ’66 Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GT
I prefer Tribute to Clone for some reason although this GTA-like Alfa is certainly close to being a real GTA. Not really. Real GTAs had lots of unique aluminum parts and methods of construction. Bolting on flares does not a GTA make. But that doesn’t make this Alfa any less exciting. Any Alfa build that uses a lot of parts from Classic Alfa and Alfaholics has got a good chance of coming out great. Those Alfa people in the UK know their stuff. Today’s Alfa started out as a matching numbers step-nose (Scalino in Italian) GT and they are prized among Alfisti. We suspect this one may have been pretty far gone to do a straight restoration so the GTA clone strategy may make sense here. The matching numbers engine or should we say original engine comes with the sale but there is one hot 2-liter motor in residence. The list is impressive with an Alfaholics Fast Road suspension, roll cage, GTA radiator, and 4.10 rear end. Read the listing for more details. Click here for the listing.
