The sixth: ’67 Maserati Ghibli Coupe
We are huge admirers of the Maserati Ghibli. We, like many others who write about the “business”, are stymied by the lack of appreciation for this car compared to its contemporary, the Ferrari Daytona Coupe. We hear the argument about V8 versus V12 and that probably has something to do with it, but I think it is just the Ferrari mystique. All of the really rare Ferraris are inflating the entire market for F-cars. Now, Ferraris people wouldn’t look at cost more than a decent Ghibli and the Ghibli is freaking gorgeous! It is no slouch as an Italian exotic either. The 4.7 liter early cars like today’s car has a top speed of 154mph. Today’s Ghibli is finished in a rather unique color original to the car. The exterior and bottom have been treated to a bare metal respray. The interior has been re-trimmed too. The entire package looks and sounds (see the video in the listing) amazing. The bidding is at $95,000 and it still has 9 days to go. Buy it now before the rest of the world catches on. Click here for the listing.
Sold at $189K. Looks like a nice car but needs to lose the 1980’s style Vitaloni side view mirror.
