Late Steel: ’67 MGB
If you look at this MGB and you know something about these wonderful roadsters you know it should still have a steel dash. Well it does. When it was purchased new by a US Military serviceman, it was registered in Germany as a ’68. It has a few minor details that are different from a US spec MGB like different color tail light lenses and a steering wheel lock. The owner actually campaigned the B in a rally in 1968 and that is pretty neat. When the car arrived in the states it was registered as a ’67. The serviceman sold the car to an auto shop owner and he restored it. The current owner has owned it for 10 years. With 10 years of ownership under its belt there should be plenty of service records to give a ppotential buyer some comfort. The car comes with the original steering wheel and we would swap that out ASAP. The only modification is an electronic ignition and a high performance coil. We think it is a good price at $8750. One of the most favorable “fun per dollar” ratios in the vintage sports car market. If I didn’t already have a ’67 I’d be on the phone.
