Z-like: ’71 Datsun 510

If you followed racing in the ’70s you probably came to respect the Datsun 510. They were successfully campaigned by a number of well-known race teams. One of the more successful teams was BRE or Brock Racing Enterprises. Pete Brock has a storied career as a designer who penned what became the Stingray and the Daytona Cobra. The Datsun 510s won a few trans-Am 2.5 liter championships. One might say they were the Japanese BMW 1600 although not at all as sophisticated straight from the dealer.
