Sky’s limit: ’78 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40
Show us a really nice FJ40 and it will surely be on Mint. The FJ40 is the quintessential no nonsense 4X4. This is not something you want to drive across country but it is something you want to drive in the country. And up and down the country. These are virtually unstoppable unless the tin worm attacks and is left to do the nasty. They are prone to rust but the good news is, almost ever body panel and chassis piece is available. And in most cases, they will be better than new. Such is the case with this Sky Blue beauty. The seller says nothing has been overlooked in the restoration. It has a massive ARB Bull Bar up front and looks like the one that is winch ready. The interior is immaculate with a hidden modern stereo sporting the tunes while the original AM radio says vintage. It even has working A/C and that is a rarity in the FJ world. The chassis is spotless just like the top. It has an auxiliary heater, roll hoop and alloy wheels with gigantic BF Goodrich Mud Terrains. Yesterday we featured a kitted Land Rover set up for Armegedon. This one is more playful and maybe more fun. The asking price is $42,900 and you can’t build one for that today.
