Yet another: ’69 Porsche 912 Targa
We’ve said it before but it bears repeating. Porsche 912s, the long ignored Porsche, is on a tear. Most likely because early 911s have reached epic valuations. Who knows if those prices are sustainable. But in any case, the Porsche 912 deserves its share of love so when we find one, we feature it. They seem to sell pretty fast so the market has interest. This one is painted in one of our favorite colors, Tangerine. It looks great in the photos except for the dubious decision to paint the Targa bar black. It doesn’t look awful, it just isn’t correct. We aren’t sure how you would go about returning it back to brushed aluminum. Perhaps you have to re-skin it? The interior looks terrific and it has a Certificate of Authenticity too. It hasn’t been driven since 1992 but the selling dealer has refreshed all that needs to be refreshed to make it a runner again. The asking price is $29,900. An okay place to start nowadays.
