Pampered: ’64 Mercedes-Benz 220SE Coupe
We can never pass up a nice Mercedes-Benz Coupe with a 4-speed manual floor shift. But this has a lot more going for it. It is perhaps one of the nicest examples we have featured. The exterior appears to be in excellent condition with great gaps and stunning paint. The chrome is in good condition too. The color is a bit conservative but in an elegant way. The interior of these Coupes are always extraordinary if they are in good condition. This is a winner. We are talking about acres of wood, wool carpeting and leather. And when they are in fine shape, it is a thing of beauty. The seller tells us it is a 3 owner car and the second owner purchased it in ’66. We have some experience with high revving engines on the highway. Our ’67 could be more relaxed at 65mph if only to reduce the noise level a bit. This one has a popular differential swap from a W108. This is a totally sorted, road worthy car that frankly, we wouldn’t touch. We would just drive it as often as we could, enter some shows, participate in club events. You know what to do. We would like to thank a new contributor, Bob, S. for the listing. Click here for the listing.
