Part Two: ’57 Serro Scotty Tear Drop

1957 Serro Scotty

If you want entrance to Scottyland to experience Scotty Time you need to own a Serro Scotty Camper Trailer. An Airstream just won’t do. With a vision of creating an affordable family camper, Mr. John Serro, Irwin PA, founded the legendary Serro Scotty Company in 1957.  The campers were manufactured by the Serro family until 1997. Beginning as a teardrop camper, Scotty trailers grew to include the 13’ and 15’ Sportsman and HiLander  which became the backbones of the Scotty line-up.  A Scotty trailer grew to be more than a RV but a lifestyle.  Today, the vintage Scottys are treasures – lovingly restored special gems. This is the first Scotty we ever found. And what is even cooler is that it is a first year Tear Drop and allegedly one of only 225 built that first year. And how lucky for us to find that ’57 Ford Country Wagon to pull this little Tear Drop. Hey, it weighs only 440 pounds. The seller states it is in good shape with hail damage on the roof from years ago we think. Adds character he says. All of the props come with it. Hurry, only one day left. Click here and go to the eBay Auction.1957 Serro Scotty
