Okay, so nothing is perfect except maybe this Volvo 122S. We are no strangers to the 122S and this one just has no weakness that we can see from the detailed pictures. The dark green exterior with cognac interior was quite popular back then. The seats look great and were years ahead of other car seats of the period in comfort and support. The B18 engine is durable as ever and coupled to a 4-speed plus overdrive and you have a great highway cruiser. Read More

SAABs are weird and that is why we like them. We know of their legendary prowess at winning winter ralllies driven by people name Stig or Gunnar. And the jelly bean shape was never copied by any other forward thinking car company. Early 3-cylinder SAABs take a fair amount of skill and knowledge to keep on the road. Mostly because people without gas-powered lawn mowers or generators won’t know to mix oil and gas in specific proportions. Read More

Yesterday we featured an early 1st generation Firebird convertible in Butternut Yellow. It was a survivor with few miles and a lot of originality. Today, we have a Camaro Rally Sport survivor in a similar color. This could be for you if the Firebird turned you off because it was a 4-speed. A 1995 anything with 102,000 miles should be considered low miles. That’s 5,300 miles a year. There was a time when a car with 100,000 miles was considered used up. No longer. Irv Gordon taught us after he clicked over the 3 million mile mark. One of Mint’s customers brought in their son’s ’94 530i with a blown out spark plug. It has 275,000 miles on it. We installed a Heli-coil, changed the plugs and it runs like a young pup. Today’s 540i looks a little tricked out wearing huge Hartge wheels but it sort of works. Read More
